License Renewals

Overview

Avaya system and software licenses are valid for 12 months. For uninterrupted operation, all licenses must be renewed prior to the expiration date. Follow these best practices to keep the licenses current in your development environment.

  • Check the license expiration dates for each system and software package used for development
  • Set a calendar reminder one month prior to the expiration date to request the license renewals
  • Enlist team members and principal equipment owners to act as back-up in case team members change
  • Note the ID / password credentials created at installation, which will be needed when updating the licenses

License requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis along with other procurement requests. Additionally, procurements requests—including license renewals—are prioritized with other DevConnect activities and do not receive higher consideration. To request license renewals, submit a DevConnect Procurement Support request, and include the following information:

  • Procurement invoice number(s)
  • Primary Host ID
  • List of all products that require updated licenses AND the product release numbers
  • Any special considerations related to the license (extensions in capacities or capabilities)—a copy of the existing license can be used as a substitute
