96x1 Series SIP Software Release 6.4

Release 6.4 was made generally available in June 2014 and is supported for installation on on Avaya 9601, 9608, 9611G, 9621G, and 9641G IP deskphones.This is NOT the latest release of SIP software for installation on the Avaya 96x1 IP deskphones.The latest release is recommended for new development.

SIP 6.4 supports the Push and Web APIs.
SIP 6.4 does not support the phonexml push type.

SIP 6.4 introduces the following new features:

Enhanced SIP Team button.
New “Limit Number of Concurrent Calls” feature.
Calls that are not presented to the IP Deskphone because it is busy now appear in the Call Log in the “Missed” category.
Support for 21 digit contact numbers.
Expanded template support for SIP endpoints.
Presence enhancements.
New "Complete Pending Transfer on Hang-up" feature allows a transfer to be completed by disconnecting the call.
New bi-directional Electronic Hook Switch signaling option.
Support for the new 9611G “Global” IP despkphone model.
New "TLS/TCP Connection Reuse" feature allows TLS connections between Avaya Aura Session Manager and the IP Deskphone to use the same socket for both directions.
New "Media Quality Indicator" feature provides a visual indicator of voice quality on a call.
