Release 9.0

Avaya Control Manager Release 9.0 was made generally available in December 2019. Avaya Control Manager Release 9.0.2.1 was issued November 2021. This is NOT the latest release of Avaya Control Manager. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:

What’s New in Release 9.0.2.1

Control Manager Release 9.0.2.1 introduced the following new and enhanced features:

  • Security improvements including server identity validation via certificates, SNMP notification for indentiy certificate expiry, support for Okta and Azure active direcotry IdPs for SAML authentication.
  • New report for all SNMP alarms.
  • Support for new Reason Code - Rejection Code for EMail approval to use, After Contact Work Timer for each channel on Oceana 3.8.1, and After Contact Work Timer for each Work Assignment service.
  • Enhancements to REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Ability for administrators to configure Oceana user templates.
  • Support for Avaya Oceana solution user data caching.
  • Control Manager Multiplex HA support for Avaya Oceana solution, Avaya Workspaces for Elite, and Avaya Analytics servers with authorization.
  • Improvements to active directory synchronization.

What’s New in Release 9.0.2

Control Manager Release 9.0.2 introduced the following new and enhanced features:

  • Support for Avaya Aura 8.1.3.1 and Avaya Oceana solution 3.8.1.
  • Security enhancements, including new Avaya Control Manager login password restrictions, default password configurtion for LDAP, SMGR and AACC systems. "SameSite" 'strict' attribute setting for protection against cross-site-request-forgery attacks, certified support for TLS1.2 and strong cipher suites, and End User License Agreement mandated during Control Manager installation and upgrade.
  • Introduced Centralized Event Logging and Raise Performance Alarms.
  • Local caching for Work Assignment objects, such as Categories, Attributes and Service, in Control Manager DB for better performance.
  • Support for new Reason Code - Rejection Code for EMail approval to use, After Contact Work Timer for each channel on Oceana 3.8.1, and After Contact Work Timer for each Work Assignment service.
  • Support for new SOAP API named GetOneXContactLists to obtain the entire list of all OneX contact lists along with respective members in each contact list.
  • New mandatory “Maximum attempts for each server” field value in Avaya one-X Agent “Alternet Server List” template tab.
  • Support for space in username in One-X-Agent, and Seamless navigation to One-X-Agent portal from Main Portal in case of SAML authentication.
  • Local Language support for CM Agents via file import and UI wizard, and select / unselect multiple attributes on bulk portal wizard.
  • SSH connectivity now uses only Rebex component for all SSH connections.
  • Introduced Native Support for J Series ( J129, J169, J69CC, J179, J179CC ) set types.
  • Installation improvements including support for zulu version 11.43.56-sa-jre-11.0.9.1, upgrade to Solr v8.8.0, disable Tomcat Service, and removed install mode and distribution setup screen and combined Installation folder and configure language screen to single screen from installer UI.
  • Silent installation (aka headless installation) and upgrade of Avaya Control Manager possible from CLI (Command Line Interface).
  • Health Monitoring Tool improvements including ability to change the Control Manager Database's SQL login passwords, configure UI portals timeout, and shifted licensing details to Control Manager Web UI.
  • Providing SAML authentication support for customer specific IdP
  • Support Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server.
  • Support Multiplex-HA deployment on multi-subnets.
  • Platform changes including support Cylance instead of McAfee, removal of support for SQL 2012, 2014 and Windows 2012 Server OS, reduced minimum disk storage requirement for ACM APP and ACM SQL server non-HA to 100 GB, excluding OS and other software, and support for All-in-one box setup extended to production environment, with limited capacity.
  • SQLServerLoginScript.sql now delivered in the installer iso.

What’s New in Release 9.0.1

Control Manager Release 9.0.1 introduced the following new and enhanced features:

  • Support for Avaya Aura platform 8.1.3 and Avaya Oceana Solution 3.8, with backward compatiblity to Avaya Oceana Solution 3.7.0.1.
  • Syncronization of Avaya Control Manager Subscriber UI and Avaya Aura Messaging 7.1.
  • Integration of Avaya Aura Media Server to upload/play announcement media files.
  • Support for SAML authentication using OneLogin Idp.
  • Introduced lockout policy to lock user accounts after set value of failed login attempts.
  • Updated training links in the Your Settings panel.
  • Support for apostrophe in user login name and LDAP username.
  • Added “Terminate User” feature to delete user from Avaya Control Manager and disabled in WFO to avoid unsupervised deletion.

  • Removed dependency on HA service and support for Legacy HA (bidirectional replication).
  • Multiple enhancements to Avaya Oceana Solution and Avaya Workspaces for Elite support.
  • Support for Avaya Elite 3.7.0.1 video channel and browser only login.
