Avaya Aura AE Services & Communication Manager Remote Labs

About the Remote Labs

Accelerate your development cycles and improve your first-pass results for compliance testing by using secure, remote access to the DevConnect Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services (AE Services) & Communication Manager Remote Labs.

Using the Avaya Aura; AE Services & Communication Manager Remote Labs, you can create intelligent communication solutions using first and third-party call control capabilities offered through Application Enablement Services, or test innovative phone-based applications. The remote labs provide dedicated access to all AE Services interfaces, including Telephony and System Management Web Services; Device, Media, and Call Control (DMCC) APIs; and JTAPI and TSAPI interfaces. Communication Manager access facilitates the development and testing of CTI applications.

Lab Details

You will be able to perform application testing from either of the labs. You will need to identify and remember which one of the two remote labs you are using only in the following scenario:

During a remote lab session, you have the option to modify the configuration of the system to meet your particular needs and may have taken a configuration back-up. If you intend to continue the testing in your future remote lab sessions by restoring your custom configuration back-up, you must remember and subsequently specifically request the particular remote lab (Lab 1 or Lab 5) that you used when the configuration back-up was taken. For your future sessions, you will need to request that particular remote lab by indicating a specific lab preference by selecting appropriate field in the remote lab reservation form.

Restoring back-up of one lab in other will make the lab non-functional. e.g. Configuration back-up taken from Lab 1 must not be restored on Lab 5 and vice-versa. Recovery will take nearly an hour of time. Please work carefully to avoid this mistake. Recovery instructions are in the Avaya Aura AE Services & Communication Manager Remote Labs Instruction Manual.

Lab Scheduling

Lab time is scheduled in 12-hour sessions 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Sessions begin at both 8 am and 8 pm Eastern Time.

DevConnect Technology Partners and Enhanced-level Members can schedule one 12-hour session per calendar week, with no monthly limitation. Base-level Registered Members (non-fee paying members) can schedule one 12-hour session per calendar week, with a maximum of two 12-hour sessions per calendar month. Please note that failure to follow these limits will result in your company being blocked from reserving time on the Remote Labs.

The session limit is for both remote labs combined.
